Everscroll for macOS
Everscroll lives in your menu bar and captures long, scrolling screenshots — then lets you beautify, split into social carousels, extract text, and redact private info, all on your Mac.
Short captures open pre-beautified (background, padding, shadow). Add arrows, shapes, text, numbered steps, and mosaic blur from the toolbar; tweak the look in the right inspector, or save a look as a preset.
Split one long image into evenly-sized slides, or pick several images (Image to Carousel → select multiple) and each becomes one slide — rendered to Instagram / LinkedIn / TikTok / Pinterest / X specs.
OCR any capture or image (40+ languages, on-device). In the editor, the Copy Text tool lets you drag a box over text to grab just that part. Tap Translate to translate via macOS.
Everscroll flags likely emails, phone numbers, and card numbers and offers one-tap Redact all — a pixel-destroying mosaic, all on-device. Toggle it in Settings → After capture.
Why does it need Screen Recording permission?
macOS requires it of every app that captures the screen. Everscroll uses it only for the captures you start — see the Privacy Policy.
Where are my files saved?
By default to ~/Downloads/Everscroll/ (auto-save can be turned off, or the folder changed, in Settings → After capture). Save As and carousel export ask you where.
Is it really all local?
Yes — your screenshots never leave your Mac. The only network use is an optional macOS Translation (Apple's service) and a small carousel-spec config download. Details in the Privacy Policy.
Free trial & purchase
Everscroll Pro includes a 14-day free trial; it's a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Already bought it? Open the unlock screen and choose Restore Purchase.
Which macOS does it need?
macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. Translation needs macOS 14.4+.
